Oak is manufactured in three different grades: Select, Classic and Rustic. Oak Select
The Select grade is carefully selected, even-coloured and almost knot-free. The grade allows filled pin knots, mirror pattern natural to oak i.e. the pattern caused by the wood's primary rays and colour variation caused by the grain pattern. A calm and stylish choice for peaceful spaces. Oak Classic
The Classic grade is a natural looking range in which the wood's natural grain pattern and colour variation are clearly visible and which shows the wood's natural knot configuration though the number of knots is low and the knots are small in size. Suitable for any interior. Small groups of knots, the so called cat's paws, are allowed in the classic grade, as are filled knots. Oak Rustic
The Rustic grade, as its name indicates, is a knotty range which includes the floorboards which have not been selected for the Select and Classic grades. Characteristic to Rustic is strong colour variation, unlimited number of small and big knots; slight oxidation and small dents in knot fillings are allowed. An excellent grade for a space which requires individuality and character! |
